Who we are
We are a network of parents with children attending Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Hamburg who are committed to working together for the well-being of their children and for an authentically Catholic education.
We came together out of concern regarding the direction of the new framework concept for sexual education in Catholic schools. In our view, it contains content and approaches that are not consistent with the Catholic understanding of the human person, sexuality, marriage, and family, and that affect students of all age groups.
As parents, we see ourselves not only as having the right, but also the primary responsibility, to guide the moral, emotional, and personal development of our children. For this reason, we have sought constructive dialogue with schools and Church authorities in order to present our concerns in a respectful, responsible, and solution-oriented manner.
Our goal is to promote an educational approach that respects the dignity of every person, strengthens the central role of the family, and preserves the Catholic identity of our schools.
